Offering a serene, introspective contrast to the more jubilant music of the Easter season, this musical setting of John Crum’s resurrection text, “Now the Green Blade Riseth,” is based on the popular French carol melody "Noël Nouvelet". The orchestral accompaniment draws its inspiration from the vivid imagery in this beloved hymn for Eastertide.
